In early 2026 the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) announced that one of the enforcement priorities of the EBSA will be focused on plan sponsor cybersecurity oversight and governance of employee benefit plans. This presentation will cover the basics of the Department of Labor (DOL) cybersecurity best practices guidance for plan sponsors and plan participants. It will also cover practical suggestions on how plan sponsors can implement these best practices to help ensure that DOL and EBSA requirements for cybersecurity oversight and governance are being met.
