At Larson and Company, P.C. ("Larson", "we", "us", "our") we value the trust our clients place in us. We are committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and security of personal and business information in accordance with applicable laws and industry standards. Clients are provided with this Privacy Policy/Notice, which explains our privacy policies and practices. Clients are promptly notified of any updates to this Privacy Policy/Notice via email or other direct communication channels. 

Information We Collect 

The Privacy Notice details the types of personal information collected from individuals, including: 

  • Contact details (name, email, phone, address, IP addresses) 
  • Financial records and tax information 
  • Business and accounting data (including payroll data) 
  • Payment data 
  • Identifying information automatically collected via cookies* (device type, browser, operating system, domain name, timestamps, timezone, location, content viewed, features accessed). Personal information collected is limited to what is necessary and relevant for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. 

How We Use Information 

We use client information to: 

  • Deliver our professional services

  • Improve our services and maintain quality standards 
  • Communicate with clients regarding engagements. 

Data Sharing and Third Parties 

Data collected and shared with third parties is stated in this Privacy Notice. We do not sell personal information. We may share data only: 

  • With authorized employees and contractors bound by confidentiality agreements 
  • With regulators or authorities when legally required 
  • With service providers who support our operations under strict data protection agreements. Clients are promptly notified if their personal information is transferred to a new third-party and are provided with information regarding the third-party’s relationship with Larson.

The Privacy Notice describes the method for individuals to update their preferences on how their personal information will be used, including: 

  • Know what personal information we collect and how it is used 
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of their information 
  • Opt out of certain data uses where applicable 
  •  Whether or not and to whom it is disclosed

Personal information is systematically destroyed, erased, or anonymized when it is no longer legally required to be retained or to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected. We retain information only as long as necessary to fulfill services, meet legal obligations, and maintain records consistent with professional standards. 

Data Protection Safeguards 

Policies are documented detailing the technical, administrative, and physical safeguards required for protection of personal information, as well as response procedures in the event of a data privacy-related incident. We safeguard information through:

  • Logical access controls and employee training 
  • Physical security measures to prevent or detect unauthorized access 
  • Regular monitoring and compliance with security and privacy policies. 

Accuracy and Completeness 

Steps are taken to ensure the accuracy and completeness of personal information received directly from an individual or a third-party. From time to time we may ask our clients to confirm the accuracy of person information received.  

Employee Training 

Employees receive training on privacy and data protection policies upon hire and on an ongoing basis. Terminated employees are required to continued to maintain commitments to this privacy policy.
