Throughout his life, Carl has used optimism to his advantage in times that many of us would have thrown in the towel. Looking through the cloud to the eventual sunshine is sometimes all you need to see you through the road to success, and Carl believes that just being yourself and giving your best effort will bring you things sometimes you never dreamed of.

Little did we know:
- Carl has the most accurate Ted Lasso Halloween costume we have seen in the office. When he grows the mustache, they are indistinguishable from each other. Some people even stop to take their pictures with him when he is out and about.
- He is a very proud theater dad. His daughter has performed in national Broadway and many local professional theater productions. He can be found listening to musical playlists while mowing the lawn.
- There are people who are born to be fans of the University of Utah. Carl puts them all to shame.
- Carl coaches his kids in golf and soccer since the age of 4. He is an assistant high school golf coach and a club soccer coach on the side.
