Location: Accounting Services Department, St. George office

Job Responsibilities
• Inputting client financial information into accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks or Peachtree)
• Reconciling client bank accounts and preparing monthly financial statements
• Reviewing prepared financial statements and checking for accuracy and errors
• Preparing and issuing client payroll checks
• Preparing and submitting quarterly payroll tax reports
• Assessing and meeting write-up client needs
• Handling IRS state tax payroll items
• Ability to assess client accounting system needs, consult and train them in QuickBooks

Technical Requirements
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
• 2-3 years write-up/bookkeeping experience
• 2-3 years experience preparing and submitting payroll checks and payroll tax reports
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks (must be able to demonstrate proficiency)

Educational Requirements
• Associates Degree (preferred, but not required)

Compensation
• $15-17/hour depending on experience
